June 15, 2006 - Manuel Asensio Featured In MarketWatch.com Article On Short Selling

Attached below is a link to a story titled "Short Sellers: A Rarer Breed of Investing" which appeared June 14, 2006 on MarketWatch.com. In relation to the story it should be noted that:

Mr. Asensio disagrees with the concept that short sellers should be restricted from advocating their positions and their financial interests, believes that all trading restrictions against short sellers should be eliminated, including the borrowing and up tick requirements, and also believes that all free speech protections should be extended to the practice of short selling. Furthermore, Mr. Asensio believes that naked short selling is a normal and commonplace method to short stock where illegitimate promoters are employing schemes to prevent short sellers from investing against them.

Mr. Asensio has provided the following comment in response to inquiries about the article: "I did not agree to be quoted. I advised the reporter that my comments were deep background and were not for attribution. I further instructed the reporter that he could not quote me without my prior approval. The reporter did not advise me of the quote and the quote is wrong and incorrect in its entirety."
